Mr. Hahn advises many private schools on matters relating to employment terms with faculty and staff, head-of-school contracts and board/head of school relations, investigation of suspected child abuse, school violence and prevention policies, and parent/teacher matters. Examples of matters handled by Mr. Hahn for private school clients include:

*       Represented local colleges in defending employment discrimination claims by employees and applicants alleging discrimination based on race, gender, disability, and age.

*       Advised and represented private elementary schools on charges of alleged child sexual abuse by faculty members.

*       Negotiated employment contracts for heads of schools, representing at various times either the head of school or the board of trustees of the school.

*       Defended schools in employment contract disputes brought by discharged faculty members or administrative staff employees.

*       Advised numerous schools on the terms of their employment contracts, personnel policies, and employee handbooks.

       Actively participates in training sessions for heads of schools and business officers both with individual clients and with relevant local and national associations of private schools.
